NVC & the Body

NVC is not just about words; it’s about the experiences words create. For example, if I were to say to you, ‘You are even more annoying than my little sister, for God’s sake!’ it might stimulate one type of experience in your body. On the other hand, if I were to say, ‘I appreciate the way you showed up today in the meeting; I feel inspired by you,’ it might stimulate a completely different experience. Words have a tremendous power to shape our experiences. NVC is truly an art in navigating the delicate human experiences that words and thoughts trigger, both within us and between us.
I don’t view NVC merely as a theory; but as an experience. I care to implement NVC in every moment and aspect of my life. The strength of NVC lies in the meticulous attention to the finest nuances of experiences within and between people.

Video recording of this workshop:

This workshop will be recorded for the purpose of making a film and sharing NVC to the wider audience. When the film will be made and before publishing it, we will send it to all participants and offer you 4 weeks to review it. If there is a part you are not comfortable being shared, you let us know and we will erase it as a way of honoring your choice and privacy.

I am excited to announce a weekend workshop focused on NVC and the body.

During this workshop, we will explore various topics, including:

Honesty in the Body: Honesty involves the precision of describing exactly what is happening within me, which is not a simple task. When I speak, I search for words that resonate with my own body. When my words align with my authenticity, they trigger a profound ‘sensual movement’ in my body. It is a connection to the ‘natural healing movement within the body’, which is all what I yearn for.

Empathy in the Body: Feelings, such as ‘sadness’, are mental concepts of bodily sensations. Ultimately, human experience revolves around sensations. We will practice how to directly empathize with these bodily sensations.

Trusting the Body as My Compass: Building trust in the subtle signals my body constantly provides throughout the day and allowing it to guide me spiritually in my actions.

Feelings: Feelings serve as an internal communication system. it is how my body communicates to me my Needs, which serve as my guiding force in taking action. Each feeling has a direction, a movement towards caring for life. We will practice recognizing the subtleties of feelings and learning how to let them guide our choices.

Self-Judgments: The way I speak to myself, often unconsciously, has the most significant impact on the quality of my life. We will practice translating our self-judgments into a language that fosters a different bodily experience.

Trauma: Trauma is an experience that becomes stored in the body. We will practice the gentle and gradual process of connecting with people in intense emotional states and accompanying them on their healing journey.

Fun: Lastly, we will engage in some enjoyable movement and games involving the body.

❀ And more and more…

I hope you can join us for this enriching workshop!

❤ Regarding Money

We wouldn’t want money to prevent anyone from learning NVC! We see money as a strategy to care for the sustainability of our giving. It’s important for us to have a sense of mutual contribution. ‘Receiving’ supports us in meeting our practical stability (money), as well as supports us emotionally to be in balance and keep our hearts open to more giving. While we stand firmly for our need of mutual contribution, we’re flexible about possible strategies on how to meet this need. Money is our preferred strategy, as it’s easy for us to transfer it to the exact things that contribute to us. That being said, if the amount we ask would prevent you from joining, we can offer the following:
1. If you’re coming from a country where the income/currency is lower than the prices in euros, we’re open to finding a price that makes sense and keeps hearts open.
2. If you’re currently having a challenging period financially, you can pay us at a later date when your finances are better. Sometimes people even pay us a few years later.
3. We’re open to brainstorming other ways you can contribute to us, though it’s not always easy to find things that both you would enjoy contributing and that would actually be contributing to us.

Extra support

We will have assistants accompanying us during this course. They’ve already completed the Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Year Courses with us and are engaged in their steps toward teaching/sharing NVC.
